Directors Ruairi Dundas and Ronan Gallagher each bring extensive experience across tax planning, systems analysis, business forecasting, business restructuring and refinancing. 

Ruairi Dundas

Director

 

Ruairi attended St. Michael’s College, Enniskillen and graduated from the University of Ulster in 2004 with a First Class Honours Degree in Economics with Governance. He subsequently joined PwC in Belfast working within the growing business section of the audit and assurance department. This provided a vast range of experience across clients of all sectors and sizes. Ruairi moved into industry working as the company accountant for a construction group before moving back into practice in 2012 with Haines Watts (Northern Ireland) Limited. In April 2018 Ruairi, along with Ronan Gallagher, established Dundas Gallagher Chartered Accountants. In 2020, Ruairi became a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Ruairi has developed significant expertise in the preparation of all forms of business accounts across a wide range of industry sectors including companies, partnerships, sole trades and not-for-profit organisations. Ruairi also heads up the company audit team. Ruairi achieved a distinction in a Diploma in Insolvency from Chartered Accountants Ireland which is particularly useful in consultancy work around business turnaround and restructuring.

Away from work, Ruairi is married to Leonora and has three children. He enjoys gaelic, soccer and is a recent convert to Amercian Football. Ruairi is treasurer of Derrygonnelly Harps GFC and sits on the board of a number of local community organisations.

Ronan Gallagher

Director

 

Ronan was educated in St. Michaels College, Enniskillen and graduated from the University of Ulster with an BA Honours Degree in Accounting in 2004. He trained within a prominent local practice and gained his qualification as a Chartered Accountant in 2009. Ronan continued as a senior manager within the practice before leaving to take up a role as Associate Director with Haines Watts (Northern Ireland) Limited in 2013. In April 2018 Ronan, along with Ruairi Dundas, established Dundas Gallagher Chartered Accountants. In 2020, Ronan became a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Ronan has extensive experience in all aspects of accounting and has developed a wide knowledge of taxation including Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax. He works closely with a number of prominent local companies in the preparation and review of management accounts. Ronan has extensive experience working with clients in the Republic of Ireland and is familiar with the statutory obligations and business opportunities in this jurisdiction. Ronan is a Certified Xero Advisor and is co-ordinating the transition for clients to ensure they are compliant with the obligations of Making Tax Digital (MTD).

Away from work, Ronan is married to Paula and has three young boys so has no problem remaining busy away from the office! He is also a keen sportsman, musician and a huge Manchester United fan.
